7th International Symposium on Phenomenological Research in Education
Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin
8th –10th October 2025

In the current global crises, climate change, pandemic and populism, as well as in the immense dynamics of global scientific, technological and digital transformations, the question of how the world can be experienced, shared (teilen) and distributed (verteilen) and how we can take responsibility for and share this world as our common world in education and Bildung is becoming increasingly urgent. Modern technical sciences and their methods of measuring, surveying and modelling only allow the world to appear reductively as objective data that is processed instrumentally and that is being torn apart (zerteilen) – to the point of destruction.

The symposium will as usual be held exclusively in English.

The organisers cordially invite you to participate and look forward to your contributions, and ask you to send an exposé of no more than 3.000 characters in English until the 15th March 2025.

Selected contributors will be notified no later than April 30, 2025.

The contributions of the symposium will again appear in book-format in the series “Phenomenological Educational Science” https://www.springer.com/series/13404.
