The Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institution explores Martin Heidegger, the most important and controversial philosopher of the twentieth century.
The Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institution is delighted to let you know that the Philosophy lecture on 9th of October will be on ‘Heidegger and the Question of Being.’
Join Andreas Wasmuht to explore the key notions in a way which provides a clear insight into what it means to be human using Heidegger’s magnum opus.
Martin Heidegger was the most important and controversial philosopher of the twentieth century. His masterpiece, Being and Time, explores what it means to be human, and challenges many of western philosophy’s cherished concepts. The question of being is not simply another ‘concept’ but a philosophy of life in which we are immersed.
Being and Time is one of, if not the most difficult philosophical works to digest and it my task to explore the key notions in a way which provides a clear insight into what it means to be human, according to Heidegger’s magnum opus. The talk will be in with explanations of key terminology in German.
The Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institution would be very grateful if you could share ‘Heidegger and the Question of Being’ with your members, colleagues and networks in general.
