The BSP now welcomes Beatrice Pagliarone (University of Exeter and University of Cardiff) to the society’s Events and Engagement team.
The British Society for Phenomenology is delighted to announce Beatrice Pagliarone (University of Exeter and University of Cardiff) is joining our events team.
The BSP events team was formed back in 2021 to expand and diversify our offerings with a yearly cycle of engaging academic events. These include our Annual UK Conference (which has run for over 50 years) and more recently an International Symposium and Online Courses.
Beatrice will join the team supporting Jessica Stanier – this year taking a break from running the International Symposium to chair the 2024 Annual Conference ‘Embodiment and History’ at UWE (Bristol). After that, Beatrice will go on to take up the position of the chair of the BSP Annual UK Conference.
Beatrice is pursuing a PhD under the supervision of Professor Joel Krueger at the University of Exeter, supported by the SWWDTP AHRC studentship. Her doctoral project explores the relation between human self-consciousness and intersubjectivity, investigating how our interactions with others shape our self-experience. Beatrice studied Philosophy at the University of Southampton and completed an MPhil at the University of Warwick. She currently co-coordinates cognition and culture meetings at the University of Exeter and has been part of the teams responsible for delivering the Metamodern Circus in Cardiff in spring 2023 and Mindgrad 2021: The Consciousness of Time.
Please join us in wishing Beatrice all the best!
