Welcome to all attendees of the British Society for Phenomenology Annual Conference 2020 Online: Engaged Phenomenology. Have a great event!
Welcome to ‘Engaged Phenomenology’ Online – the British Society for Phenomenology Annual Conference, with the University of Exeter, co-sponsored by Egenis and the Wellcome Centre for Cultures and Environments of Health.
The conference begins this morning with an opening address from our conference host Prof Luna Dolezal, associate professor in philosophy and medical humanities, University of Exeter. The video from Luna will land on the conference platform at 09:30 (UK BST). And that is where you will find all the links to all the Speakers videos and Zoom keynote papers going forwards.
You can find out what is happening and when on the finalised Conference Programme with timetable, abstracts and profiles at the BSP website. Over the next three days we have live Zooms with our keynotes Dan Zahavi, Sophie Loidolt, and Mariana Ortega; and 58 pre-recorded presentations from 62 Speakers across dual panels. And of course, anything you miss will be around during Catch-Up week.
We also encourage you to get involved. All the speakers are looking for feedback, questions, and discussions on their topics and ideas. Every contribution is valuable – just please be kind, check out our statement on respect in the programme.
For those of you that have yet to log in to the conference platform, everything you need is in the ‘You’re invited to join BSP Conference Online’ email we sent everyone on Sunday 30 August.
We hope you have a great conference – and if you have any questions just drop us an email: [email protected].
