“Reframing Togetherness” / “Redessinons le vivre-ensemble”

Founded in 2003, the Society for Existential and Phenomenological Theory and Culture (EPTC) is a Canadian-based international academic society that aims to promote rigorous scholarship drawn from the traditions of existentialism and phenomenology, broadly construed. In addition to theoretical work on core philosophical issues and figures, the society is especially interested in providing a forum for showcasing practical and applied research, as well as cross- and interdisciplinary developments of existential and phenomenological themes.

The 2025 meeting will be held in early June at George Brown College (Toronto), in conjunction with the annual Congress of the Canadian Federation for the Social Sciences and Humanities (May 30 – June 6).

The current call for papers can be found on the society website, and the organisers welcome submissions from all interested authors. The deadline for paper submissions is January 13, 2025.
