The Chilean Association of Phenomenology was founded in 2018 in Santiago de Chile, as a result of the joint work of PhD students and academics from various institutions, interested in organising national and international events to discuss and disseminate phenomenological research carried out in Latin America and other continents.
The Association is a cooperative multi-institutional space. Its main objective is to contribute to the development of phenomenological studies in Chile and Latin America. Therefore, the fundamental tasks of the Association are to produce, disseminate and promote phenomenological research carried out in the region. Along with this, its long-term purpose is to transform the local context into one of the main scenarios for the development of phenomenology and the creation of international networks for cooperation and the promotion of phenomenological production in the Latin American context.
