All the recorded talks from the hybrid Workshop on ‘Reassesing the Relationship Between Phenomenology and Explanation’ are now available online.
The organisers are happy to announce that the recorded talks from the hybrid Workshop on ‘Reassessing the Relationship Between Phenomenology and Explanation’ are online now and can be accessed here: https://www.explanationandphenomenology.com/rec-talks/
The workshop was in preparation for a special issue of Phenomenology and the Cognitive Sciences due for release in 2022/23 being edited by Heath Williams (University of Notre Dame Australia) and Kristina Musholt (University of Leipzig). Each presenter is an invited contributor to the special issue. The workshop is hosted by the University of Leipzig philosophy department, and was held in a ‘hybrid’ format. Some speakers were present in Leipzig whereas others were present from locations across the globe such as Australia and the US.
The focus of the workshop was on engaging in constructive dialogue with the aim of improving the quality of contributions to the special issue. Each presenter was assigned a primary ‘respondent’ who was expected to pre-read their contribution and prepare a critical and constructive commentary. Those talks and the commentary as well as a brief response to the commentary by the presenters were recorded and are now fully uploaded to our website.
