The Phenomenology of Dementia and Aging Network is holding the next online Zoom talk of 2022 on Monday 14 March.

The Phenomenology of Dementia and Aging Network is delighted to announce Lars-Christer Hydén`s lecture on “Intercorporeal Collaboration in Late-Stage Dementia” on Monday the 14.03.2022 via Zoom from 14.00-15.00 CET.

L.-C. Hydén will present some of his research on people living with late-stage dementia. He will highlight three themes: (1) the organization of interaction and the role of embodied guiding; (2) producing concerted bodily action (intercorporeality); and (3) communication beyond language use.

Prof. Hydén received his PhD in Psychology from Stockholm University, Sweden. He is professor of Social Psychology at Linköping University. His research concerns how people living with dementia interact, use language and tell stories.

In addition, the organisers would like to invite all interested parties to the Reading Group afterwards. We will discuss the 2018 paper “Dementia, Embodied Memories, and the Self” together with Prof. Hydén. Please register for the Reading Group by sending a short message to [email protected] or [email protected]
